It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia; An Introduction

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has easily been one of the funniest shows on television for the past five years and you probably don’t watch it. Why not dude? I know things, I write article(s) on the internet about television for a living (YOU LIE!) and I have impeccable taste.

It’s Always Sunny, on the surface at least, is crass and almost grotesque, but it’s exceedingly clever and everything that comes out of Charlie’s mouth is gold. It was filmed in 2005 for under $200 by four friends; Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, and Kaitlin Olsin (who, in reality, is married to Rob, ROMANCE!). After two seasons Danny Devito joined the cast as Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and Dee’s (Kaitlin Olsin) father and he’s been brilliant since day one. Listen, if you miss Arrested Development (if you don’t then we’re not friends) then you’ll love It’s Always Sunny. If you’re bored of the endless love stories that some popular …cough…Office…cough… network shows keep offering you. And you respect smart writing, which obviously you do since you’re on this fine site to begin with, then you’re going to love It’s Always Sunny. Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed…I hope.
